2011 Training Camp Day 6: Friday (Full Squad)

The Christmas presents are all unwrapped now folks! Sadly the team was greeted by a lightning storm that interrupted the beginning of practice and caused many of the large crowd in attendance to head out early but, given the truncated training camp opportunities, Coach Morris trotted the team back out once the all clear was given and those remaining saw a full practice. • Good – Defense continues to shine (D Line). Today’s star was Michael Bennett by far.
  • Bad – Gerald McCoy (@Geraldini93 on Twitter) came up gimpy and ended with his shoulder iced. Team says it is ‘nothing scary’ and they are just being cautious.
  • Ugly – Right side of the line still needs help. I cannot wait for Davin, Jeremy and James to get into game shape and level the playing field.
You guys asked that I pay particular attention to some individuals and I did my best. Also, nice to meet some of you guys out there at camp! Thanks for the kind words!

very informative videos!! just wanted to ask how the 1st team offence is doing and who looks to be 1 and 2 on the depth chart for wide outs. Also if there is any possibility clayborn, price, mccoy, and bowers could be our starting 4 line this year??

First team offense looks sharp except for the right side of the line which is lagging due to our free agents having to sit out of camp. On the defensive line, that lineup would be the one if Price was ready to go. If he is not, expect Roy Miller. There is a lot of talent in that line and the coaching staff is doing a great job.

First I want to thank you for the very informative videos and camp analysis. I enjoy every second of the new season and your amazing coverage plays right into it.

I wanted to ask you whether you could tell me who especially was not looking well so far on the offensive line. Please don’t only consider the “veterans” but also guys like Dotson, Barker, Carter, …! Thank you!

I will pay more attention to the individuals next week but I know that Carter and Brandon did not look good. Now keep in mind, most of the line looked bad in camp last year and they worked out pretty well, but right now, the right is a sieve.
