2012 Buccaneers Training Camp: Day 3

You guys know that I am on the road headed to Canton, OH and the Hall of Fame. I am hoping to be inducted in the PFUFA Football Fans Hall of Fame as I am a ‘Potential Veteran’ so I am heading up to take part in all of the charity work, parades and events surrounding the weekend. That is all great (with the exception of the ludicrous drive and amount of luggage as we have made this a family vacation) but it did mean that I will, for the first time in 7 years, miss the majority of training camp.

Now I have some awesome people who are sending me video to review but I also met a great listener and astute young man name Drew Hamilton (Twitter: @D_R_Hamilton). He is being so kind as to cover camp as a featured WTB? reporter! Here is his first video segment. Let him know what you think and make sure you follow him on Twitter. I will be reviewing what I get and posting what I learn ASAP.

Thanks to Drew and everyone out there at camp!

Thanks for the update, got most of your information on Twitter after finding and following you. My one critique would be the amount of “Uhh’s” and “Umm’s”. Sorry, but it is a pet peeve that was instilled in my by a college professor of mine years ago.

  2. No problem, Adam.

I have to admit that I’m pretty new to being on screen. I will try to limit the verbal “fillers” on the next video. I’m certainly no Derek Fournier.

I also realized that I failed to mention anything about Josh Freeman in three and a half minutes, which I will do here now:

Freeman had his sharpest practice on Sunday. He beat the oncoming blitz with a touch pass that he was able to float over the defense into the arms of a striding Vincent Jackson. He still showed some problems with decision making over the middle of the field. Some of his passes were tipped by receivers, which could be attributed to poor route running (as predicted by Derek). But all in all, he seems to be improving each day.

Thanks for the comments here and the questions on Twitter. I will be back out at Training Camp on Wednesday.

Good info especially on the continuing lack of progress with the d line. I’ll look for your next report.

Good job Drew. Looking at the pictures from Roman it seemed that the ball wasn’t being carried as they had been practicing and you confirmed that.

Looking forwward to your future camp recaps.
