Derek Fournier a.k.a. ‘OldSchool76’

At "Huge Ass BEers" ni New OrleansA transplant to Florida as an infant, my father taught me at an early age to pull for your home team. In this case, that meant pulling for the Buccaneers as I turned 4 and they were formed. Many painful years followed, but each one started with the same excitement and hope for improvement. Sports have always been a topic near and dear to my heart. The spirit of competition, camaraderie, and desire to excel translate well into all aspects of life. I am a fan of all sports (minus baseball, though I respect the talent it takes to do some of the things they do) but my heart lies with Football (NFL) and Basketball (NCAA). I think I know everything (just ask my wife) so don’t be surprised to hear me pontificate as if informed by some other-worldly source.
I am a fan in all sense of the word. A story that conveys the level of depravity this entails goes back many years to my days in Seattle when, in a fix as DirectTV’s Sunday Ticket did not (and does not) include preseason games and no Internet coverage was available, I used my unlimited weekend calling to have my Mother leave the phone by the television in Florida so I could listen to the broadcast. Yes, I am that sick.

I am the proud father of one wonderful son, Nicholas a.k.a. ‘Nicky Noodle’ who I hope will grow up and become an NFL placekicker so that Mom and Dad can retire on his inflated salary!
I wish everyone could play as hard as guys like Chris Hovan.

Sean “The Doctor” Levy

Rockign his pornstache from lat yearBorn and raised in the groves of Central Florida I grew up with a love of all sports.  I have played most and enjoy watching all (well maybe not WNBA but a man has to draw a line somewhere).  Having gone to college at the University of Florida, college sports are the nearest and dearest to my heart.  As Old School or any of my close friends can tell you there is nothing I enjoy more than watching the Gators hoist championship trophy after championship trophy in various sports.  However I will say I have been somewhat spoiled as my freshman year of college was 1996 when the Ole Ball Coach was roaming the sidelines and brought UF its very first national title in football.

When it comes to the pros I love my hometown teams- Bucs, Rays, Lightning, and the Magic.  If I am not in attendance at a home game you can pretty much bet it is on my television or the local am radio station is playing.  The Buccaneers have had my loyalty from the very beginning.  I was born two years after the first season in team history and can remember sitting in the old Tampa Stadium with my family watching the Buc’s play.  Not very successfully at first mind you but we had to go through some growing pains to get to where we were in the 90’s and early this decade.

In my personal life I am an international man of mystery.  I enjoy traveling and sleeping on various friends’ couches.  I pretend to golf but mainly do so to drink with my friends.  I am always up for a long lunch or good tailgate party.

The Team

I suppose we could all be called characters on this team, but there are a few folks who are regular contributors and, if this were a business, would be considered STAFF.

“Spent”

Our right hand woman, Spent is best known for her work on about 4 trillion message boards. Self titled ‘The Girl One,’ she keeps us in line, makes sure we do nice things for people and pretty much stops us from looking like idiots. Her words about herself are:

The only thing remotely close about my description above is my name and that I am right-handed, oh wait and a female! There is no way to keep these gentlemen in line, and you wouldn’t want me to anyway.

Totally uncensored and of course, totally passionate…hence, my dedication. WTB? truly does give every fan a voice. Never underestimate the power of fandom!

During our live broadcasts you’ll find me in our chat room and green room. On home games you’ll find me at our stadium, what we fondly refer to as St. Raymond James ;) Hours before the game you’ll find us in lot 14 cooking, eating, drinking, playing games and sharing our Buccaneer passion with some of the finest fans in the league! We know no strangers so be sure to drop by, we’re not hard to find!

Hit me up with any ideas, Buccaneer events, charities, advertisement requests, or sponsorships. Anything else, see me after February ;)

“Captain Bones”

Our Director of Promotions, you have probably seen Captain Bones at our tailgates (created by the wise and powerful Bucarino!) or on the Jumbotron in the stadium. Never one to shy away from camera time, Captain Bones is quite a celebrity in his own right. For us, he provides a limitless supply of contacts as he stalks networks with players, cheerleaders and administration. He has been instrumental in securing interviews for the show from the likes of:

  • Chris Hovan
  • Jovan Haye
  • Torrie Cox
  • Jarriet Buie

He is not done, however. We have a tentative approval for an interview with Buccaneers General Manager, Mark Dominik!

“Big Paizan” – Our King of Parody

Hard to believe that we could have found a parody stud by accident, but our man Big Paizan from the hills of Inverness brings it with nwe parodies each week. Always creative and never bothered by the need for polish, Big Paizan, whether you love him or hate him, is creative and energetic.

Rob Malpica aka “BigPaizan” is the “unofficial” official parody songwriter/performer for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. BigPaizan is a transport from Long Island, NY. Growing up in NY, BigPaizan was always a Giants fan. Then, upon moving to lil ole’ Citrus County, Florida at 12 years old in 1987/88, BigPaizan just fell in love with those creamsicle uniforms and whimsical ways of the BUCS. After brief local “Stardom” on the HS gridiron (Three 3A/4A All State Selections) and a very brief/injury shortened college football stint, he began to concentrate on music a little more. After playing bass and singing in several bands in the late 90s and early 2000s, BigPaizan settled down with his lovely wife Betsy and now has two miniPaizans, Zach and Josh. BigPaizan’s love for the Bucs, music and just entertaining people lead him to the idea of creating parodies for What the Buc? and, most of all, the fans.

We feature his new songs here on debut before he posts them to his YouTube channel and allow local media to post links.
