Steelers Tailgate Notes

Another Sunday and another blacked out game. Sadly, our fans cannot muster the team spirit and financial capability to support their young team who is sitting at 2-0 and basically thumbing their noses at the NFL experts. (Note, there has been no appreciable reduction in spending on strip clubs, liquor or other vices…it is a choice people).

Anyway, we are going to be there. Weather permitting, we will be in our home location off of Ohio (See map). For the Browns game, that lot was a lake so we migrated across the street to the paved area next to the Training Camp. It was not as nice, but we got it done. This week, we hope to have our A game.

Chef Red is working on a Pittsburgh classic. If the Browns game is any indication, we will have plenty of food. If you have not RSVP’d on Facebook, get out there and do so! It has also come to my attention that Big Nasty and the crew from the Atlanta Bucs Fan Club will be with us. These guys know how to get things done folks!

Remember that the contest this week will be for a sign that gets on the Jumbo Tron. You must incorporate either the WTB? Logo, the WTB? Tailgate Logo or the letters “WTB?” in some creative way. Judging will be at the tailgate and prizes will be awarded.

Word on the street is that Eddie’s Party Bus has been repaired and will be live at the tailgate spot. There are other rentals avaialble at www.rockstarzlimo.com if you need to come in in style. That also means that if you are not going into the game, the stream may be available in the Bus.

So get out there early people and let’s get our team ready to shock the NFL again (and then be discounted because the Steelers have no QB currently!)

ChefRed

A lifelong Buccaneers fan that began working in the restaurant industry when he was 16, Chef Red continued this career while growing to love tailgating at the Buccaneers games. Started out with two small hibachi grills and a passion to cook. Began meeting up with the WTB? Tailgate Krewe and Captain Rino in 2007. During the Mike Alstott retirement party Chef Red and the rest of the current tailgate Krewe came up with a great plan to make the biggest and best tailgate party in the Tampa Bay area. Now residing off of Ohio Avenue the tailgate has grown into a special event for every Buccaneers home game. The addition of "Grillaneer" in 2011 which is a 20 foot customer smoker on a dual axel car carrier has grown the selection of food farther than what two hibachi grills can handle. Chef Red tailors his menu for every incoming opponent and tries something new each game. Rather it is hundreds of pounds of pulled pork, ribs, chicken, or even smoked salmon there is always something for everyone. Chef Red makes almost all of his own sauces, rubs, and side dishes with his own spin to please the crowds. Chef Red's motto is "Tailgating with Attitude" which speaks to his love of the Buccaneers and feeding the massive crowds at the tailgate. Chef Red
