Bucs trade DE Gaines Adams to Bears. Will this wake Stylez up?

‘Less than 10 sacks and you’re a bust,’ was the sentiment and despite a few flashes here and there, Gaines Adams did not show the coaching staff enough for them to see him as part of the future Buccaneers. Gaines was traded to the Chicago Bears for a 2nd round pick which many feel is a GREAT deal for the Bucs!

A former 4th overall selection of the draft, Adams smaller stature, lack of gym/weight room time and inability to chose a more direct route to the quarterback seemed to be more than he could overcome. There were hopes this offseason that with Jim Bates arrival, Adams may fit this scheme better ala Jason Taylor in Miami. Sadly, that did not seem to the case and with more currently dead money invested in Sylez G. White who has been forced thus far into flipping from side to side instead of staying at his natural, RDE position. I hope that this move inspires some better performance out of the crew as White is now in his best spot and should be concerned with the opinion of his coaching staff as they continue to bring in more defensive lineman and get good performance out of some of those folks (like Tim Crowder) as well as having rookie Kyle Moore Finally healthy.
