The Buccaneers are ready to come home after 2 straight games on the road. They are coming off an easy win against the 49ers and were able to edge out the Panthers. The Buccaneers are home for the next 3 weeks. The next opponent? The Oakland Raiders. The Raiders have had a impressive season, at 5-2 they are one of the AFC’s best. The Buccaneers are going to have their hands full. Lets see what will happen when the Raiders come to town.
Bold Prediction 1:
Mike Evans continues his hot streak. WR Mike Evans has been on fire this season, catching the football and maturing on the field. He has established himself as one of the leagues top receivers. He will just prove it even more against the less than stellar Raiders defense. Big Mike will have an even bigger day.
Bold Prediction 2:
Jacquizz Rodgers continues his success. No I’m not saying he will rush for 150 yards again. This Raiders defense is not as bad as 49ers but it is certainly not the best. Rodgers is a great runner, quick, shifty and tough. That’s what this team needs. Charles Sims was NOT getting the job done as the Bucs featured back. Rodgers is just like Doug Martin. However, Martin is still the better back, despite what some fans think. Rodgers is doing the job for now and he will continue to do that job this weekend.
Bold Prediction 3:
The defense forces more turnovers. The Buccaneers defense has been progressing week after week. The players are starting to get familiar with Mike Smith’s defense. They have forced a lot of quality turnovers at the right times these last 2 games. Derek Carr almost always has a turnover. The Buccaneers will take advantage of his mistakes.
Bold Prediction 4:
Robert Ayers shows his value to the defense. DE Robert Ayers is very likely to play on Sunday. This will be the first time that Ayers has put on the pads since week 2 vs Arizona. In the games he played he showed some very solid skills. He had a sack in the first game vs Atlanta. Ayers will come back and bring the fire and edge rush that the Bucs need, and need badly.
Bold Prediction 5:
Noah Spence has the game of his career. I am really liking what I am seeing from the Buccaneers rookie out of Eastern Kentucky. He started his career off slow but has really picked it up these last few weeks. He is really looking like the rusher the Bucs drafted. He will have at least one sack and be all over the field in this game.
So there we have it. This will be a very difficult game for the Buccaneers. The Raiders are no joke this year as they have all the pieces. Offensively and Defensively, they are solid all around. Carr is a great young QB, Cooper and Crabtree are huge threats in the passing game. On defense they have Khalil Mack, Bruce Irvin and many others. The Buccaneers definitely have to be at their best. Its just great for the Buccaneers to be home. “Home Sweet Home”-Motley Crue.
